The Michael Carroll 9/11 Memorial Scholarship Fund $
Established in memory of Michael Carroll from the class of 1980, who was a fireman who lost his life on 9/11. Mike was so loved by his classmates that several members implemented ways to keep his memory alive. The scholarship was started by his classmate Judge Jeffrey Oing, and Joe Langan ’80 with other classmates started a special memorial basketball tourney in his honor. The tourney was held the weekend before September 11th and the event raised funds that were donated to La Salle Academy in Michael's honor. In the last several years, the tourney was replaced with a special dinner in memory of Mike.
